Redwood City Public Library Bees

Have you seen the bees at the Redwood City Public Library? No? They live on the roof, just above the main library entrance. You can visit them at 1044 Middlefield Rd, Redwood City, CA 94063

Watch Us Live!

If it is warm and sunny, the bees will be buzzing! See if you can spot them bringing in pollen from the flowering plants and trees in the area (on their back legs in their pollen baskets). At night, the bees stay inside to keep warm, though you might see a few hanging out on the front porch fanning their wings - this helps circulates air and dry out the nectar to create honey.
